Roc The Runway
ROC THE RUNWAY
From the music, to the art, the dances, to the designs -Rochester definitely rocked the runway on April 17th at the Memorial Art Gallery. Featuring designers from top to bottom; Nathaniel's Originals, Reckless Necklace, Dream Kandy, Drew Mogul, Nereida Vazquez, Noira Bella, and Siro Designs. A special host, Miss Jennifer Williams from Basketball Wives took the stage along with Rochester's very own Mr. Toshman Powell. Rayna B and Marquita Smith coordinated an amazing event to interest everyone with music by Muziq Korner, art and design. Below are photos from, Roc The Runway in Rochester, New York:

Champagne Hits The Spotlight
Champagne Brown, Winner of Lovin' Cup Idol Season 2 takes the stand. Brown accepted the reward of a Nintendo Wii, a recording session at Webster's GFI Studios and a $300 check. Brown has enjoyed working with Lovin' Cup Events, and continues to bring a crowd with her soulful voice, resembling the voice of Miss Adele but her personality brings an edge to her amazing tone. Displayed on the left sits the 4 finalists of Lovin' Cup Idol 2011; from left to right: Chris Zielinski, Jocelyn Mesiti, Logan Van Epps, and Champagne Brown. Brown contributes her time by stopping in time to time to sing for Open Mic, and also has a few projects in mind. Brown says she's planning a Charity Event for Lovin' Cup with a mixture of Fashion, and Music. "Lovin' Cup has no idea of what I am going to bring to the table, I hope to make "The Cup" a place that interests everyone," says Brown. The Charity Event, "LovinBums" hits Lovin' Cup on May 9th. Champagne also enjoys sewing and has worked on her first show collaborating with Crystal Torres in the show "PINK," with her designs "Sweets" by Champagne. Brown will be opening up for Honeyboy Carenco at Waterstreet Music Hall on Thursday, April 21 at 8pm. Admission is $10.

A Stylist Lane
Saturday, April 2nd, Brockport College hosted their OSAD'S 25th Annual Fashion Show. A Stylist Lane was a featured designer under the category: "African Culture." Studying the colors schemes, culture, and designs, I was able to develop an inspiring line of modern looks. (Above) Two designs from the Fashion show. Goodknews Photography has agreed to link up with "A Stylist Lane" and create an editorial look for the upcoming fall designs. (Below) Sandra Melendez, Ms. Belleza Latina International of 2011, appeared on behalf of Latina support to her community. Melendez took photos with the "A Stylist Lane" team and has set up an interview as well. Melendez looks forward to supporting "A Stylist Lane" designs and even purchasing the looks above.

Jennifer Hudson - Where You At
"A woman who never gives up"
After appearing in American Idol as one of the finalist and in the film "Dream Girls," Miss Jennifer Hudson has made her way up. She is such an inspriational woman. With the devastating news of her mother, brother, and nephew killed in a shooting, she never gave up. Her vocals have filled so many souls with her warm sensational tone. "I Remember Me" Album releases today, March 22, 2011. This album focuses mostly on her personal life, and throughout obstacles she's faced; she's become a stronger woman. Hudson took on a huge transformation with her appearance in honor of being the spokesperson for Weight Watchers.
